Is this meal spicy?
Yes, this meal has a good amount of spice. It is a Bibimbap, after all! Ours contains a house-made Gochujang sauce, made from Korean red chiles and fermented soybeans. Heat is subjective, so if you are the type to find a medium salsa way too hot, then you might steer clear. If you have a tolerance for and enjoy spicy foods, you'll find this dish to be a nice medium-level heat.
What is Bibimbap?
This popular Korean staple combines steamed white rice, with the spicy-sweet-umami flavors of Gochujang sauce, and sautéed vegetables. Traditionally it's served with a fried egg over the top, and while we have come very close to the real thing, this was one component that we couldn't replicate in a camp meal. We encourage you to add this on your own, though it's perfectly delicious without!
