FAQS

I really don't need a stove or hot water?
That's right—Stove-Free means just that. You can pour straight from your water bottle or from the faucet (if it's potable) right into the bag. Just 12 minutes later get ready to have your hair blown back, because your crunchy, fresh-tasting salad is now ready to go.

Is it spicy?
We consider this meal to be mildly spiced, with just a hint of Thai chili kick. Paired with coconut milk and peanuts, you'll find this meal is perfectly balanced and not overly spicy.

    Sooooo good!!

Great texture, great flavor, chunks of actual chicken - this meal was so satisfying! One thing I love about the GTG meals is that they prioritize protein over sugar/carbohydrates for sustained energy.

    Hooray for stove-free meals!

The stove free meals are helpful in different scenarios. This one saved me on the Camino trail this summer. I arrived to town hungry but everything in Spain closes a few hours each afternoon. On a flight with crappy food? Breakout one of these! I now keep one in my daily backpack and travel with a few on any adventure!

    Shockingly delicious

I recently spent two months backpacking and I only ate three backpacking meals the entire time. (I usually get creative with ramen each night.) To me, they cost too much to rationalize mediocre taste. I picked up this cold soak meal at an outfitters because really hot temperatures were in store and I figured "why not"? This peanut chicken salad was so good that I kept an eye out for it at every store in the remaining weeks and was bummed not to enjoy it a second time.

Delicious and convenient go to lunch!

It’s one thing for a backpacking meal to be convenient - bless the good to go gods for a cold water soak meal - but it’s a whole other thing for it to also be this delicious. I’m a sucker for anything peanut flavored. So this is a gem!
