Just Okay
I'm very grateful for "Good To Go" as they are by far the cleanest ingredient dehydrated meals I found on the market. I hate to say I was just underwhelmed. I was at 8,500-9k feet of elevation and the first time I made this per the instructions it had way too much liquid and wasn't close to rehydrated. I crunched hard onto the corn and chicken that were not rehydrated yet. The second time around I used less liquid and let it rehydrate twice as long which was better. Granted, the package does warn you of longer rehydrate times at elevation but I wouldn't have thought over 20 minutes to be necessary. Flavor was "okay", but felt like when you go to someone's house and they've put too much seasoning in a soup. This was more zesty and bold than thick and hearty. My hunting partners had the big box brand meals and while they have way too many ingredients, they cooked faster and were tastier. Unfortunately there's a tradeoff to eat clean.
