I absolutely love Good To Go!
I tried Good To Go for the first time on a weekend trip to Grandfather Mtn in NC. I am fairly new to the hiking/backpacking community so trail food is new to me as well. I tested several brands at home and on local hikes and couldn’t seem to find the right fit for me. I am a long time vegetarian and I try my best to eat healthy and clean the majority of time. At 59 that is extremely important to me. As I was preparing for my two day hike a realized that I did not have enough food for the trip and a friend graciously offered to pick up a few bags for me when she got hers. She asked what I wanted and I basically said, “Just get me something with rice or pasta but no meat.” That was my only prerequisite! The first night at camp she brought me a Good to Go Mushroom Risotto and a Good To Go Pasta Primavera. She said, “I hope these are okay because I couldn’t decide what to get you!” That night at camp I filled my belly with Pasta Primavera and thoroughly enjoyed it! It was just the right amount for me and it tasted so delicious and clean. I know and understand that trail meals are packed with all of nutrients that we need to replenish our bodies after a big hike but I just didn’t like the way I felt after eating some of the other brands. Good To Go leaves me feeling full, satiated, and happy without feeling bloated, groggy, and regretful. Now I can focus on my reason for hiking! My newfound joy and love for the woods!!
