Quite nice
Tasty and filling. The addition of the crisp plantain pieces at the last stir was a good choice. I will use this as a staple of my mornings.
Why add the plantains after the meal is rehydrated?
We recommend topping your Ranchero Scramble with the provided plantain chips after the rehydration process. This provides a nice crunch, which we find to be really satisfying.
What is ranchero sauce?
Ranchero is a tomato-based sauce that includes tomato, onion, chiles and spices that packs a vibrant, earthy flavor. Often used as a condiment, it can also be used as a sauce for many traditional Mexican and Tex-Mex dishes—most notably perhaps is with huevos rancheros.
