Our Latest Meals: Whiskey BBQ Pork and Cowboy Casserole

Two New Meals. Big-Time Protein. Zero Compromises.

We’ve got news, and it’s the kind you want to hear when you’re hungry, tired, and a little bit smug about choosing real food on your adventures.

Meet our two newest backcountry heavy hitters: Whiskey BBQ Pork and Cowboy Casserole.

They’re hearty. They’re comforting. They bring serious protein to the party. And yes — they’re still very much Good To-Go.

Why we’re extra excited about these

Both new meals pack more protein than we typically offer and come with two full servings per pouch. That means more fuel for long miles, cold nights, big climbs, and post-adventure hunger that doesn’t mess around.

Oh, and like everything we make:
✔ Real ingredients you can pronounce
✔ Chef-crafted flavor (hi, Chef Jen)
✔ Gluten-free
✔ Lab-tested with a 3-year shelf life

Let’s dig in.

Whiskey BBQ Pork

31g protein | 2 servings | 14-minute cook time

Smoky. Tangy. Just the right amount of sweet.

This Southern-inspired comfort meal starts with slow-cooked pulled pork, simmered in a rich whiskey barbecue sauce made with tomato, smoked paprika, garlic, and a touch of coconut sugar. We pair it with rice, black beans, and a crunchy cabbage-carrot slaw to keep things balanced and satisfying.

The result?
A bold, cozy, trail-ready meal that tastes like it belongs somewhere with a campfire — or at least a really good view.

Is it spicy?
We consider this meal to have a little warmth, a lot of flavor.

Cowboy Casserole

35g protein | 2 servings | 14-minute cook time

This one’s pure stick-to-your-ribs goodness.

We’re talking hearty ground beef, sweet corn, melty cheddar cheese, and shredded potatoes that bring that cozy, casserole-style crunch. It’s rich, savory, and deeply satisfying — the kind of meal that makes you pause mid-bite and go, yeah… this was the right choice.

With 35 grams of protein, Cowboy Casserole is our highest-protein option yet and built for big days when you need food that actually holds up its end of the bargain.

Is it spicy?
No way!

Same Simple Prep, Same Trail Logic

Both meals are easy to make wherever you land:

Tear pouch open and remove oxygen absorber

Add just under 1½ cups (325ml) of boiling water

Stir, reseal, and wait 14 minutes
(Perfect time to think about how big the universe is.)

Stir again. Eat. Smile.

Note: Rehydration takes a little longer at higher altitudes — patience pays off.

Comfort Food, Reimagined for the Outdoors

These meals are proof that you don’t have to choose between real food and real performance. Whether you’re deep in the backcountry or just want a no-compromise meal that actually fills you up, Whiskey BBQ Pork and Cowboy Casserole show up ready to work.

Big flavor. Big protein. No shortcuts.

See you out there — hungry, happy, and very well fed.
